Hello H-M3,
Did you send me a message, I swear I read something from you, but I have nothing in my private messages, visitor messages, nor in my email, either read, or in the trash bin...

Here are some pics showing the pin locations on the wood trim piece, it takes a good quick yank/tug to remove.
On the drivers side trim I had removed the pins prior to picture taking, so posted passenger side "mirror image" trim to show the actual pins.

One or two fingers in the vent slot, and two fingers to grab at the opposite side.

Sweet! So the actual facia is flat? I originally thought it was deep to the end of the RPM and MPH clock. So no point trying to grip at it at the deep end? After that is it just torx 20/25?
Thanks again

Yes, all flat, then just torx and 2 plugs at the rear, 1 green, 1 blue.
Then to open it up to access the screen, now you can look at this a few ways as I am not sure in the other thread post if the whole cluster gets sent in for the repair, or if you have to remove the center screen to send in separately, and if you check online for the Sharp LQ050A5AG03 screen you will see some that are complete, meaning the whole piece to be a simple swap out plug and play, and some that show just the glass LCD screen which does cost less then the complete unit, but, and a big BUT, if you chose to buy just the glass piece then you will have to open up the screen housing to replace said glass LCD, and the big problem there is that you risk breaking the extremely fragile squared fluorescent surround backlight tube, then you are sol, and you don't know if the fluorescent tube is the cause of your fault right now to begin with, so in my opinion its best to get the complete unit as I will post below, this seller I have purchased from before to fix 6SPEED members infotainment head units screens, out of 6 screens, 1 was semi faulty, white spots on screen surface, I sent him pictures and he shipped me 2 replacement units the next day to make up for my lost time, you cant ask for more then that !

Thanks fella. Found similar item on aliexpress for half the price. The problem is how will I know it’s the lcd itself that is the problem and not something on the pcb? From your experience has changing the lcd sorted the issues? My one has lines going across the screen.
thanks again

@H-M3 Sorry for my late reply,
Can you post a picture of the fault on the screen, is the screen illuminated, meaning does the odometer and all display properly, or is the screen dark all together or in spots ?
