lost sound in the car
lost sound in the car
Hello everybody! I have such a problem car 2006 Bentley GT. Sound has disappeared, speakers do not work at all, neither music, nor parking sensors, nothing. Maybe someone faced such a problem? What is it?
First things first. Check the fuses to the amp.
Check the main fuse located in the boot on left side. Fuse layout is in the Service Manual.
If fuse blows immediately upon installing a new one then the amp has failed, usually due to a short due to overheating
I had a thread about this very issue several months ago.
I sent my amp to a trusted repair shop that had previously fixed the amp in my Lexus.
Cost to repair was a few hundred versus a new amp for over $1300 US.
Where are you located?
Will find that thread and add the link to it.

I found a fuse only at the driver’s feet, at 40, but it’s okay. What kind of fuses are you talking about? There is a fuse box near the battery, but there seems to be nothing connected with the music. Please clarify. The system I have is not NAIM ordinary somehow without labels.

Sure sounds like your amp is toast lad.
Guessing you don't drive the car much so it's not a big deal to you. Unless you just prefer the sound of motor and wind?
What @Welcome to Earth is talking about I take it by his calling the system an "MMI" is a 3 button reset, but that is for Audi's with said MMI system, we know the Bentleys do not have a mmi, it has a Infotainment System, but the Bentley system does have a reset button right on the front, if you quickly press it once, it will ask if you want to reset what ever source you on on at the time, such as NAV, FM, CD, etc. But if you press and hold the reset button for say 5-8 seconds, the whole infotainment system will reset/reboot.
WTE, I am getting on the dozer in a few, so I will look for fuse information for you tonight, I also have a 2006 stock amp if you do need one.
Johnny.
When my system was quiet the fuses immediately blew when replaced. That's when I new the amp was knackered. Luckily I knew of a good shop that specialized in auto amp repairs. A few hundo later my system was back up and thundering.
