My Ben Hur Install
Smh…I’m having this same issue going on a yr now.
I Bluetooth my phone to mines and have to make sure the info screen on the dash says either media, telephone or navigation in order to use the chrome jog wheel to change tracks on my phone.
And what’s this guys number because I’m getting tired of hitting the side to get my right side to play. I took it all apart once thinking my soldering work was shabby!

Sorry I missed all the questions, been busy with a new contract, got a pipeline to build.
I've never had a problem with my Ben Hur / Kenwood system, Carplay connects automatically and the everything just works. To get to switch track, I have to use the media mode on the steering wheel controls, I just hit the phone button to get to it. Maybe I got lucky with the unit, but I don't
drive that much nowadays, my current contract has me working at home, some time I don't get out the house for a week or two.
Car is on the hoist, as I'm replacing the power steering pump, pulleys and fan belt.

So here is a question.....
If the standard unit connects to an AMP. Could I replace that amp with something that does the car speakers and a sub in the boot? I guess it would abe a preset bass level or maybe not depending on the amp, as I assume there is a set of pre-outs connecting to the factory amp....is there one or two? Or is there any spare pre-outs off the standard factory amp.
My system is not NAIM it is "12 speaker, Multi-Channel Digital Sound Package - LSE 9VE"
