Replacing the console switch pack?

My hazards are not working. The dealer wants $820 for the parts and said once replaced it needs to be reprogramed. My question -> does it really need to be reprogrammed if I replace the switch pack? Also can I just replace or rebuild the hazard switch?

Mr8888 is infamous around these parts
I replaced mine with the same part number from a place I found online. I think I paid $350. My hazard button was in better condition so I just swapped the plastic button at the top.

I just swapped it no programming was needed.

The start button is separate although it goes next to it.

easy switch according to the instructions the center console pulls easily out just be careful not to scratch it also note which plug goes to the mirror and which to the ebrake.

there is also a few videos from alpine parts that shows similar disassembly

That's pretty interesting. So the dealer said I need to buy the whole switch pack and I don't. They also said I need to have the car reprogrammed once the switch pack is replaced which is also not true. Is there a way to find the part number for the hazard switch on my 2013 GTC without taking it out of the vehicle and physically reading it?

my car is a MY2008 so not sure if a 2013 is different but I dont think it will be an issue because the switch looks just like a minor update on the newer cars.

Worst case buy it and try it and see if it works then either program yourself or have the dealer program it after its installed.

you can program with Rosstech if needed probably.

I just looked at these switch packs listed on ebay. They all look like one unit that controls many functions. Please let me know how this hazard switch can be swapped out without replacing the whole switch pack? I didn't see any on ebay uk site either.

Hello @Linescreamer ,
I am not sure where you got the idea that you do not need the complete one piece switch pack, as it is just that, one piece, minus the start button.

Here is the part number

3W7959676C for convertible

Listed at $441 on Scuderia.

Great thanks. Don't know why I couldn't find it on their site. I think for that price I will go without hazards. Unless anyone has succeeded in rebuilding them?
