How to get rid of glovebox mounts
How to get rid of glovebox mounts
I had my stereo shop take out the navigation box and the CD player, since neither is in use. I thought I'd have a whole bunch of extra space, but they were mounted in little plastic shelves that seem to be a part of the glovebox plastic structure and I didn't gain any space at all, just a couple of little empty shelves.
Is there any way to open up the glovebox with the old electronics removed? It actually looks worse with them out than with them in. The audio guy swore that the plastic was part of the whole glovebox surround.
What has anyone else done?

It is not part of the glove box housing, iirc there are 6-7 screws holding it up in place, I have an old one laying around the garage, but I won't be able to get pictures of it until 1-15-21.

That's great news.
I poked my head in there and didn't see anything obvious.
And you get the CD and Nav unit, they're sitting on my front table by the door, I need to get motivated to find a box. All gone after Christmas, I remember thinking, "We shouldn't throw ALL of these boxes out."
Do you want the bracket too when it comes out, or is that just junk?
