Trunk alignment
Trunk alignment
Hi, in connection with the inevitable fault with the shock absorbers, I noticed that the gaps at the trunk where not completely aligned+/- 3mm.
Asked the Bentley workshop to look at it in connection with the replacement of the absorbers and got the answer that this is a known problem!
According to the W.S, the adjustment possible was already made and the only thing that could possibly help was to change the hydraulics and hinges.
Anyone know anything about this? Since there are no guarantees that this will solve the problem the quoted € 6000 feels a bit on this iffy side.
Thanks/J

Hello @Turn55 ,
I seriously hope that is a typo as to the cost of "€6000", as $7257.01 is absolutely ridiculous, the hinges brand new from the dealer are $386.00 for the left, and $400.00 for the right, the gas struts are $47.00 each.
Post some pictures if you would as to the alignment issue, is it a height of the bootlid versus the body issue, or just the width of the gaps themselves ?
