Can you get old maintance records from Bentley?

Will a Bentley dealer release any records if you have the VIN? Im toying with the idea of picking up a 05-06 GT and would love to be able to confirm vacuum lines, air struts etc that have been worked on or plan accordingly. Also, has anyone come up with a vacuum line relocation kit to avoid dripping the motor? Im aware of the stainless steel set from Jim (formerly of NY now in NC). Every car has its grenades and so far it seems like the GT's is vacuum lines, air struts and some electronic gremlins.....all doable.

Thanks in advance gents.

If the car was serviced at a certified Bentley dealer you should be able to.

I know when I used to own BMWs that was one way to discover the service history on a preowned car.

Thanks. I know every maker is different and different from dealer to dealer. Its slim pickings out there right now, not a good time for looking for a second car.

I cant even get the records from the dealer who sold me the car. I have the full Bentley service record alone (stamped service book), however anything outside of that is considered as going against their privacy policy. Here in Australia, the log book does not show the previous owners name or address, or any previous. I suppose it depends on the dealers policies.

Notwithstanding the privacy issues, from a practical point of view do you really think that Bentley dealers will still have records for an 05/06 car i.e. from a time when we were using Microsoft XP and no-one knew what an iPad was?

My guess is that their systems will have been replaced at least once since then.

Sadly, I think that the only way you'll get a true record is if the previous owner(s) had the foresight to keep their own records.

Hi ,I just bought 2 days ago an 08 GT and this is my first post .
I went to the local dealer today and talked to the service writer if he could look up the VMI and just check for me without showing the info to me about the service history.
I knew that by Mercedes that is not a problem how were I'm surprised Bentley dealer don't sharing that information.
he only could look up if the car was at his dealership ,where it was only one time in 2015 ,so no chance of a VMI at Bentley what actually blew me away

Regards
Ulf

OK that's only 65 Miles away and yes I know my mechanic over 10 years he took care of my S550 and now of that "stupid thing" I just bought
After 5 days proud ownership I had to replace the left strut and he showed me that the right side control arm bushings are bad.
The strut from Arnott was $ 770.00 and 3 hours labor we did an oil change at that time too
Let me know if you need something from him more that happy to bring you together but as a warning he is very busy
