Hi, the car is reading the P2440 and P2442 error codes. From looking online it has something to do with the secondary air injection valves not closing properly. Is anyone familiar with this issue? Does a part usually need replacing etc.?

I’ve done a few checks. I checked that what I think are the secondary air intake pumps work. They do. I’ve removed the outlet air hoses from the pumps and blown into them to check if the valves to the exhaust are stuck open (as the error code suggests). They’re definitely not stuck open. A wire on the cable attached to one of the sensors is slightly frayed. Could this be causing the error code?

 

This is practically a new SUV. It shouldn't have wires scuffing so soon. It must have plenty of warranty left so I would get Bentley have a look at it .
