I am putting my Bentley in hibernation tomorrow, in my warm garage along with my SL550. I plan on filling both tanks with premium unleaded gas and adding a can of this Liqui-Moly fuel stabilizer:

Does anyone have any input, positive or negative?

(I was told to also over-inflate the tires a bit, but what is enough there?)

 

Don’t think I’ve used that product, but I’ve used sta bil marine (similar product) with my boats for winter storage for years and never had a problem in spring. Only difference is that I’ve subscribed to the very little gas theory as opposed to full tank for storage and an oil/fluids drain at storage and change 1st thing before starting in the spring. Moisture bag in the interior, too, to prevent mold, if the area is humid.

 

Yeah the full & empty tank theory during winter storage seems to be as divided as which way you like your toilet paper to roll! heh

So you mean that you drain the oil & fluids and leave it empty? Is that just for your boats, or even if it was your Bentley parked in a warm (around 10 degrees C, 50 degrees F) garage for 6 months?

I decided to keep it registered a bit longer, my VCDS threw some fault codes at me that I wanted to check out prior to the hibernation.

 

I think the weather here may be a bit milder, so for winter storage, the Bentley sits in a cold, occasionally heated, garage for about 4-5 months, but I do drive it on a few days that may be cold, but not snowy, so haven’t used fuel stabilizers or changed fluids. The fluid drain is only for the boat that’s stored outside on land in shrink wrap at a marina for about 6 to 7 months at a minimum.
