1st Oil Change

Just changed the oil for the first time on my new (to me) '14 Speed. Got a great deal from Rock Auto on Purolator oil filters, their last 3 for less than $9. Cost more to ship them and they are just re-boxed Hengst E314H01s, so that was a great deal. Previous service folks did their jobs right too. Filter cover was only hand tight and filter was nice and clean when I disected it. Slight hiccup when I ordered the oil though. Found a too good to be true deal (it was) on Amazon for Mobil 1 0W-40 6-pack only $19.95. Ordered 2 and got 2 quarts. So I got it from NAPA on sale for $32.95 for a 5 quart jug, still not bad. Bottom cover is in great shape and everything under it looks new so a great day in the garage. One question for the group though: Still need to get my VCDS tool to clear the service notice, is there any real difference between the wired and wireless versions besides convenience and VINs? I have an old Windows desktop set up on my work bench and am planning to just get a USB extension (20') to plug it in.
