Coil Change When Doing Plugs

Hi guys

My Bentayga W12 is going for a 6 year major service this coming week, including plug change, it’s done 65k miles now, should I tell the dealer to change the coils whilst they’re in there, as preventative maintenance, car drives fine but I did get a CEL for 5 seconds the other day which has prompted the idea of doing coils aswell as plugs, and saving on the labour charge of doing separately?

Thanks
Carl

Hi Carl, In the US that is an expensive part ( X 12) and one that I can not find a less expensive replacement. I recently replaced the plugs on a 2006 w/ 60K Miles and just left the coil alone. I flushed them out with some contact cleaner when putting them back on and runs great and no errors on a scan. I am leaving them on and replace when they fail. If they do go they are so easy to replace I would just do it my self. Just unplug the wire and pull the coil and put the new one in.
