Clonking from front driveshaft or brakes on hard left lock when old?

From a cold start, when I pull out of our drive, I have to have full left lock on. When I do this, there is a clonk noise. Never seem to hear it any other time.

Is this likely to be driveshaft with cold grease, or maybe something going on with the caliper?

Usually after the car has sat for a while, Although, I will test this doing a full right lock instead to see what happens...

Hello @rich9911 ,
What you described sounds like the CV joint, you really do not want to go full lock left or right, the sound is likely the ***** in the joint jamming against their sockets from the extreme turning.
