Hello @GT2015GCC ,
First off, Welcome to 6speedonline !
As to your sound issue, please give some details.
Such as, why you state that the NAIM amp may not be compatible with the Infotainment head unit, did you swap out the amp or the head unit, is it the original amp to the vehicle, if not original, does the vehicle have the "NAIM" emblems on each door speaker grill, do you have the "NAIM for BENTLEY" trim piece in the trunk/boot ?
Is the NAIM amp you pictured "3W0 035 466 H" with the gray plug sockets, original to the vehicle ?
If the vehicle did infact come with the NAIM for Bentley audio system, did you check the three 20 amp fuses in the trunk on the left side above the house battery ?
If the 3 fuses are blown, then you have an issue with the amp itself, they are known for two faults, overheating, and a software malfunction, the SW malfunction is sometimes reset by pulling the fuses, as another member was told here a while back, the dealership called it a "hard reset", if the fuses are blown, then you would need to have the amp repaired, as it most likely blew a few mosfets or the power transformer itself.
Does your 3W0 035 466 H have a fan at either end ?
As to your diagnostic scan, it does not show the required items to diagnose the problem, you need to scan address (07) for the Infotainment head unit, and (47) for the sound system amplifier, (56) as you posted is just the radio, meaning the AM/FM tuner.
The lagging of the Infotainment head unit has been a known problem since it's generation came out in 2012 for NA.
Also, I believe that you missed uploading the picture of the screen.

Thank you Johnny- appreciate your in depth response
This Bentley was involved in a accident prior and restored before I purchased so I’m not sure if the amp is original or not. When I purchased this Bentley infotainment screen worked but sound never worked. There is no NAIM emblem in the trunk or on the speakers
I have taken out amp to be inspected so will let you know if it’s damaged inside and will check fuses if blown. This is how screen appears we hen rebooting
I also changed both batteries when I bought the car the old batteries were not correct - see in photo old
in right , left new
someone advise that the order in which these were installed (main vs starter battery) could also impact amp not working
Hello @GT2015GCC ,
I tagged you yesterday in another thread so that you can get the email address to send you VIN into Bentley for a build sheet, this way we can see exactly which system you should have.
I am going on the premise that your vehicle did NOT come with the NAIM for Bentley system, as you have no NAIM for Bentley emblems anywhere, or the NAIM for Bentley sub woofer trim piece that goes across the width of the boot opening at the top, nor the "NAIM" logo beneath the wing on the Infotainment head unit screen at startup, as your picture shows.
So, if this is the case, you can NOT use the "3W0 035 466 H" amplifier that you have pictured, as the wiring schematics are completely different from the base system.
Can you post some pictures and answer my questions as to the following items, as to if you have them or not, this will help determine if you have the "Standard", or "Premium" system as listed for your year.
So, we know you have no emblems, nor trunk sub woofer trim, how about the sub woofer itself, mounted up in the trunk under the rear deck inside the trunk ?
Do you have the 4 pin plug harness for the sub woofer ?
How about the wiring harness with the blue, or possibly black 6 pin power plug required for the Premium or NAIM amplifier ?
These are the part numbers and time frame for the 2015 standard and premium amps.
Just to note, the standard amplifier does not require the 6 pin power plug, nor the 4 pin sub woofer plug, as a vehicle built with the standard system will not have these at all, so that is the clue to which system you have.

Reason: Add information and pictures
I have since removed the NAIM amp and purchased a standard amp (image attached) after plugging this in the problem still persists . I have reset the infotainment system but still no progress. I assume there is an issue with the inforainment system itself? I’ve seen on your other thread about hard reset by removing fuse - do you have instructions on how to do this ? Thanks Not sure what this is You can see SD card and Bluetooth not appearing
