I'm trying to remove the radio for my 2013 Continental GT. I get to 2:39 seconds in this video below. My radio doesn't pull out as easy as his does in the video. It looks like he cuts the camera off at that point before pulling the radio out completely. I noticed there was a plug to the temp control which I was able to unplug but can't figure out what else is holding the radio that has to come out. Any ideas? It just doesnt pull out to a point where I'm able to disconnect all of the plugs.
Not coming out as easy as it seems like it should be. Seems like the big plug on the back left side doesn't have much slack on the harness. Feels like I'm pulling too much but ill give it another go tomorrow. I keep walking away from it hoping something changes by the time I get back to it lol.

I m having the same problem with the left side plug as @unknownneal . Seem like no slack. How did u manage to get it done?

I have just added CarPlay to my 2013 Speed. The unit would not pull out as easily as the video either. As Johnny said - pull a bit harder. It will come out and there is enough cable slack. Mine eventually co-operated!

Hey there, thanks so much for your response. Did you disconnect the AC panel FIRST, then keep pulling? (I noticed that one is kinda tight too)
Could you SEE what it was hung up on? I would HATE to destroy the harness.

I disconnected whatever I could get my hand on to and then was moving the radio side to side to get some more slack in the harness. It was a pita but after yanking a little it got looser and was easier to pull the radio out enough to disconnect it. It definitely wasn't as easy as the video makes it out to be. After all that I installed 2 different type of modules and neither worked right with the android auto so I have the same stock radio after all that lol

Wowza!
I'm curious which two you installed and why you went back to stock?
Im worried about the suspension icon selections not working properly

Mozart electronics and the fitting bay. The fitting bay didn't work at all. the screen would freeze up and just didn't work. I went back and forth with them for weeks. The mozart electronics one worked but the sound was horrible. The guy told me that it doesn't work well with android but it does with Apple car play. I gave up after those two.

Ok, so i got mine out finally. I wanted to share with the group how I did it.
#1 - I released the AC board controller.
#2 - I identified the coiled wires coming from the left power harness through a small crack. I used a screwdriver to gently pull the whole lot of wires rearward. It release the slack without putting direct pressure on the harness plug itself. After that it coudl pull out about 8-10 inches - enough to undo the clip from the bottom.
Now I can go make a video where it looks super easy to remove lol. Again, this was NOTHING compared to my masi...
I did not use either of those. Mozart was expensive compared to others and required a separate microphone from the OEM already in the car. I used one from a company called Kremer https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804825594756.html. Add on unit is different - wiring was easier but see my post on the experience of installing it. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post4937500. It works just fine. As this is an add-on, it does not affect any of there standard head unit functions. It is not a Tesla style complete swap out. BTW - on a Gen2 the AC panel is not separate. Everything is one piece and it all comes out in one. Once you have it out far enough you can get to the cables on the back to disconnect them all. Everything however is a tight fit! Especially when it comes to putting it back together.
