Has anyone replaced their faded hood and trunk B emblems?

I have a 2016 and my red trunk badge is very faded, I want to replace them with new Front and Rear black "B" badges/emblems, I assume you remove the original B emblems to replace with the self-adhesive replacements. I see many have been sold but has anyone replaced them from the forum?

They look like complete badges which will probably stick on with double sided tape. I just bought vinyl stickers to stick over my black badges - there was nothing wrong with the originals, they weren’t faded or damaged, I just fancied the dark red.

I think they look ok for £14.

I am looking at a 2014 and the red B in the rear trunk area is badly faded, does anyone know why this happens? Is it due to sun damage? Does this mean the vehicle was left outside all day during its life?

I would also like to know if the whole badge needs to be replaced or if those stickers match the B area perfectly? It seems surprising that Bentley would sell official stickers for those emblems or are those stickers aftermarket?

I'm assuming the stickers are after market, I just replaced the B on my hood. It comes as a thin aluminum emblem that is held in place by foam double stick material, definitely not as robust as 3m molding tape and thinner, thankfully as if it did use 3M, it might be much harder to remove
As it was I just warmed it up with a heat gun, not too aggressively mind you as it mounts to plastic and lots of nice paint nearby. When warmed up, I used a very small flat blade screwdriver to catch an edge and it popped right off leaving 90% of its adhesive tape on the hood release plunger. So rather than scraper it all off, I simply coated both the new emblem and the existing foam the with contact cement, waited 15 minutes and firmly pressed the new emblem in place and good as new!. I suspect the red fades much quicker due to UV issues, same as red cars can. A proper UV protected sticker could last a long time, but applying it on a curve surface can be tricky not to get wrinkles or bubbles, but new vinyl is much better today. For me a new oem emblem was the easy button

My 14 flying spur has the same issue for the rear. The front side emblem is fine but the rear is faded. How do I remove just the center part of the emblem? Do I have to get access from inside the trunk? Thanks

The car in interested also has faded red emblem on rear. Can we not put the sticker right over the faded B?

I don't think the faded B is removable so I think you just put the after market sticker overtop the existing faded B am I right?

I don't think you remove the B because it includes the wiring/ switch that allows for the trunk to open by pressing the b button

I think the fix is simply Applying the aftermarket B sticker that is sold online overtop the faded B. Interestingly, Bentley has official part number for the front emblem sticker but rear trunk b doesn't have a sticker, you either go after market sticker or you buy whole emblem with new switch from bentley

Dan did you just apply the sticker overtop of the faded B? Where did you get that sticker?

I purchased mine from Flying Spares and they were perfect front and rear. They were a heavy duty sticker possibly with a metal backing for the front. It made it look brand new.

I carefully peeled off the original using a razor blade if I recall correctly and put on the new one

The front is a remove/replace as I described above, The rear is either buy the whole new emblem/switch or buy the aftermarket sticker that goes right over the existing "B"

Does anyone have the direct link to the rear emblem sticker that I can put on top of mine? It’s a 2014 Flying Spur, and I need the black one since it’s the W12. Thanks in advance!

I called flying spares they said there is no sticker available for the rear B, only the front B. You can buy the rear B emblem sticker from online sites but they told me it's not original Bentley part

Did you do that for the rear B as well? I didn't know the rear B is able to be taken off separate from the wings emblem

I can't find any aftermarket stickers that go on top of the rear B. Can anyone kindly post a link here if possible? Thanks again.
