My Bentley CGT 05 have no sound in the stereo (not been working for at least 6 years). I just found these cables soldered to the head unit motherboard. Anyone seen this before? The first owner did some stereo upgrades to the car and removed everything before it was sold but never worked after they “turned” it back to stock😊
As to your issue, could you please post some photos of the entire infotainment head unit, and the boards in question, just not so close up, also a picture of the end termination of the cables to the outside of the unit.
Next, I would like to see the black 20 pin connector for the back of the head unit, the vehicle harness side, 8 pins are responsible for the sound, pins 8, 9, and 10 for navigation sound, pins 3, 4, and 5 for stereo sound, and pins 1, and 2 for phone sound, let's make sure they are in place at the head unit harness.
Next, please tell me, is the head unit fully functional, besides the lack of sound, do you have any sound whatsoever, be it navi, phone, or parking sensors alert ?
Have you verified the existence of the amplifier in the boot, have you checked the fuse for said amplifier.
Next, we should verify the proper wiring of the 23 and 24 pin plugs at the amplifier itself.
