Heat to footwell?

So I've encountered an issue. The airflow from HVAC to the driver's footwell isn't quite what could be expected. It blows warm (or cold) air when need be, but not nearly enough to keep your feet warm in cold weather. The difference to any other car I've owned is substantial.

I've used VCDS to calibrate the vent doors and to diagnose their movement but it hasn't helped much if at all. Passenger side footwell is ok, it gets quite a bit more airflow.

This problem has manifested itself now that I temporarily don't have a garage for my daily drivers and the car isn't already warm when I leave.

Any ideas or pointers?

I had a similar problem with the blend doors on an '09 that my Indy fixed by reprogrmming.

Thanks. So it seems I'll have to get back on VCDS and see what can be done. This is good news because taking the dash apart is quite a hassle and I'd like to avoid that if I can.
