Looking at GTs...any advice?

Any do's/don'ts of GT hunting?

We would want to pay around 130k

What years and milages should we expect to fall near that price range and what should we steer clear of?

Thanks alot!

IMO this should get you a mid teens mileage 05 GT, but maybe not a Mulliner.

I just got mine (2nd one owned) and I feel that a Full Bentley service history is required as they come with full service for 3 years, and if someone has not bothered to do that then what else have they not bothered with.

Also I think prices are held down with some of the funky colored interiors, but that is a matter of taste (or lack of it!!). Some of the garish color interior cars that are on the E bay do not seem to attract any bids. Coincidence? and the asking prices seem to be lower as well.

I have had superb service from my local Dealer and any faults have been immediately rectified with the car being picked up by them and returned fully detailed. I suppose you expect this at this level.

Good luck with your search.

Best advice I can give you, look past the name and drive it back to back with an Audi S8 or A8. My money says you prefer the way the Audi drives hands down. And the interior luxury between the two is a coin flip.

IMO the bentely GT is such a dull, soul less car to drive. Pretty, and "image worthy", but other than that meh.

I had 2 C-GT's last year, a 2004 with 17k and traded it in for a 06 C-GT Mulliner, great cars but as Vicious said pretty blah. I got bored with them pretty quick. I have a S8 now and like it tons better than the Conti's.
But I am pretty bored with the S8 now as well, so you better not listen to me then. LOL

Conti's are great cars and real people stoppers. The Audi is just more of a drivers car.
Good luck, if you can find a Mulliner they are worth the few extra bucks esp. at resale.

CL600 with some renntech work or a CL55? You would be AMAZED how inexpensively the big benz's can be had these days. Look around and you can find a CL65 for what that C-GT will run.

IMO a CL65 with these:

wheels looks fawkin HOT. saw one in person in old town pasadena last weekend. Thought they were SLR wheels at first. Damn sexy sled.

Too many including BAJO have bought and sold a number of them...I drove my GF's sisters and it is fast and really stable on the highway but the rest I am not impressed and better cars can be had for the $
