Should I buy this M3?
Should I buy this M3?
EDIT AS OF 11-11-07: Story has a very funny ending!
Help me out my fellow 6 speeders:
I know very little about M3's except that I have always wanted one. The seller is willing to trade this M3 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/s...d.php?t=100678
for my cherry G35 (see sig) plus, of course, some cash on my end.
I know it is a totally irresponsible move on my part (M3 will be my daily) but the car looks incredible. What do you guys think?
Please advise since I need to make a decision quickly.
Thanks

That car does look incredible. Put a post on e46fanatics.com.
I was kinda nervous about buying my M that i have now cause it was pretty heavily modded and seen many video's of it getting used pretty hard. But i made a good friendship with the seller and felt very good about the deal. Once the car arrived and had it for like 2 weeks it became my favorite car of all times. I can't make your decision for you, but sometimes you just have to say F#$K IT!!

It looks a bit insane to be a daily driver. I wouldn't want to drive it in traffic, but depending on how you plan to use it could be an *** load of fun. You don't often hear m3 owners complaining about their cars...DO IT!
I wouldn't buy anything from that seller. Something seems shady.
1. Very evasive/defensive fielding questions
2. "In a hurry" to sell a car that will require a lot of due diligence
3. He doesn't even have pictures of the "current set-up" on the car.
If you bought this car, you would be buying it based on your faith in the company that built/tuned it. If you know them well and trust them then jump in. If you don't know them, RUN!

I think its a pretty safe bet. BHS is local to you and you can go talk to them first hand prior to buying. This car was well documented over on M3Forums. I remember the buildup and it seemed that no expense was spared. I say go for it! Will be an awesome machine especially with the engine built.

I read the thread over at the M3 forum about Naseems car. It seems that BHS is generally a good shop, but got behind on this project. Naseem didn't want to wait (I can't blame him) and took the car back before they could finish it.
I am going to call BHS and see if I can get their assurance that if I have any problems that they can work it out.
If I can get the car dialed in just right, (and it seems that Naseem has her running well) she will be an amazing car. But that thread has caused me some concern.
Hmmm....

Don't let the inputs of this forum affect your decision 100%. I would go talk to the guys from BHS and owner directly if I were you. BTW, BHS is run by very straight up group of people as far as I know and you being local to them is pretty good since they know the car inside out.
It seems like a very well set up car and would go for it if you're comfortable with that kind of power and traction (or lack there of). My dad was interested in that car, but it's just too much for what we need it to be. It's an insane car and with the amount of time and money put into it, I would have no hesitations - especially with a capable shop (BHS) being somewhat local (another drawback for us).
I've read the owners posts over on the M3forum for years. He's a loose cannon taking anyone down that doesn't agree with him 100%. He closed the for sale thread, because of "tire kickers". Well weed out the tire kickers and i'm sure you'll find a potential sale. He plays like he's the ****. I probably think his car is ok, and especially since it's done by a reputable shop. If you can get past his rants and you guys agree on a price, go for it. Seems he's desperate.
i always have a philosophy about buying modded cars... I usually like doing the mods MYSELF personally just to know what goes wrong. Then you only have yourself to blame if things go to ther shi**ters
