No thanks to a shipping accident that occurred last Friday at the port in Jersey City when the carrier M/V Courage tipped, more than 370 brand new BMWs suffered serious damages. The carrier was loaded with a variety of 1-Series and 3-Series models including plenty of 2008 M3s. From the 370+ cars that were damaged, more than 70 are reported as total losses, with the majority of those being M3s. Those cars that were a total loss will be crushed while those that suffered minor damages will be repaired at the Elizabeth Receiving facility and sold through BMW's dealer network.
