M5, E63, or S8?

The lease on my daily will be up in a few months so I'm now researching for relative info. for my next ride. I would like to get some input/feedback from guys that have owned these three options or have had extensive time behind the wheel.

TIA

Peter

How often do you drive the 430? Do you like to drive aggressively even with your normal cars?

The F430 is for spirited drives on weekends only. I guess for my daily I'm still looking for performance but not sacrificing too much on ride quality. I mean how "aggressive" can you get with this stupid traffic we have in LA anyway?

they are all great cars , so its hard to choose , you would really ahev to ask ur self what are u looking for in the car , if u want something practical that u can drive every day and is a lot of fun and handles great,i would go with the m5 . if u wanna kick back and haev smooth sailing driving with just power then any of the other two.

Well, when I lived in the US there was always night time driving and early mornings Will this be strictly a work-home, store-home, long distance kinda fling? If so, S8 for sure. Me personally, Id get a white M5 with an exhaust.

I agree with Felix. Go wit the S8 if you're concerned about ride quality. The S8 will coddle you and you won't want to leave your car when you get home!

THanks for the imput. I'm definitely leaning towards M5 now for the fun factor/performance advantages.

Yes...I love those "spirited" drives during the early morning on Sat/Sun. Yeah, this will be strictly work-home-store-long distance car...but a white M5 with exhaust sure sounds tempting!

You want a cls55 or e55. Torque for days and it doesn't have to be revved like the M5 for "spirited driving"

S8 is a completely different type of car..
you should put S6 instead

now with S6, E63, and M5, i would go for the M5 in a heart beat..
why ?

Drive the E63.. .the chassis feels disconnected from the road on spirited driving..
the S6 is by the best looking (in my opinion, and has the best interior) BUT, it has AWD.. so it will dull out the fun..

I would go for an M5 SMG any day of the week, and twice on sunday
just make sure you put an exhaust and suspension on it

Thanks for the feedback...this is the kind of info. I'm looking for. S6 has the looks but a bit underpowered, M5 seems to tbe the best fit. But how's the SMG? Never tried it before. Is it more comparable to manual stick or the F1 paddles?

I have an M5 and even w/ its highly modded set up (581 rwhp) it is still a beautiful daily driver. I never want to leave the car. It is a dynamic car and you have so much in put for set up in driving it. There's nothing boring about the car. I've always called it, " luxury on steroids".

The other cars compared to me are big boats. You have no feel of the road but not to say the M5 rides rough or hard. Quite the contrary.

BMW M5 all the way.

Cheers,
GT3Ranger
