What car should i get?

Ok, here is the deal. I sold my Z because i thought i was moving to Florida for school (FSU) but after going to Florida i realized that it's not the place for me...I’m a Cali boy. So anyways, i need a car. This will be my DD. I will be going from Irvine to Fullerton (20 miles?) daily and will need something to get me through school yet not brake the bank. I have picked a couple cars in my "budget" but I’m torn...

These go in no particular order..
1) 07 335 coupe. I was thinking i chip it, slam some HRE's on it, M-Tech kit, and some other mods. Goal would be 400whp which would be EASY to do on that car. Only bad thing about it is that it'll be stick...i dunno if i wana be driving stick for another 3years

2) 06-07 550i. I would prob put some 20's, M-Tech kit also and call it a-day. Good power at 360 hp/tq. Only downfall to this car is that i hear the new body style is going to be coming out in 2010? Maybe 2009? (I'll have to grab some Bimmer reps at Bimmerfest and ask them).

3)Lexus GS350. EDIT: I drove it and there is no way in hell i could every be happy in that car. I'm too young!

4) X5? Range HSE? ML?

you should think about the sound of the m! the way the 335 brings its power to the street is not very spectacular...

Ya ///M's always sound great, but i'm not sure what you mean by how the 335 brings its power to the street? You don't like Turbo? To me power is power, and having a 400whp DD is great no matter how the power comes about.

+1 for m3 as the most fun DD. I miss my drive to work at least once a week. It's just one of those cars that is more than the hp number.

you wont go anywhere if you try to eliminate options one by one.
if you are sick and tired of 2 seater but want 4 door, just get e90.
all cars will be boring if it's not manual so bottom line is that you either pick a boring but practical car or forget about boring factor and get yourself a manual car.

what I mean is theat the car accelerates as if it would be fixed on a elastic stap. same tourque in every rpm-range. it´s fast but boring.
