02 x5 AC problems

Still dont have the AC fixed but I need to get on it ASAP.

I have done alot of forum searching on this one and others and can not seem to find a reacuring problem with x5 ac's.

Let me explain the symptoms.

Basicly I think the front fan is out. The rear ac fan works and when the compresor is on it blows out cold air. The front only lets outside air through the vents.
If I turn on the compresor let it run a few minutes and then turn ot off again the cold air will blow into the front vents.

This is why I think my front fan is out.
This is going to sound like a dumb question but where is the fuse for the front fan at, its not in the rear quarter panel. Is there an easy way to diagnose this besides taking it to BMW?
Any ideas guys?

Thanks for any help. and by the way I already checked and there is not a rag stuck in it.

I think it's called the blower fan actuator. Basically the blower fan has a resistor or relay built in the harness. Had the same problem. I changed it with a used on from a juck yard. Soddering is involved.
