Best place to sell an M3 2004

Hey guys -
Before I cave and trade it in i was wondering if anyone had advice on selling a 2004 M3 thats a track/street car...I have some pretty good mods on it. I have listed it on Bimmerforums, ebay, autotrader, roadfly and cars.com.

I feel like I need to find a specialized buyer but they dont seem to be around.

Thanks
Webb

Try M3forums.net, e46fanatics.com, and I would also suggest posting here

Try craigslists as well. Here u have to have certain posts count 100 to sell. Anyways, best advice to get most of your $ back is to part out then sell in stock condition which will appeal to a much wider market prospect. That's from my personal past experience or you'll need to wait much longer for right buyer to come along. GL.

Put it back to stock if possible. People are afraid of mods. Then sell the mods here.

Market is rough for us M3 owners.. I went to see what they'd give me as trade in on my 04 vert with 26K miles and they offered me 31K.

I finally sold my Dinan 01 M3 via craigslist last week. Had it listed at all of the above forums including this one, but local hits with craigslist seem to be the best if you are in a large metro area. Yep, the e46 M3 market seems to be pretty damn soft I will agree.

Best of luck.

Glad to hear you got it sold, David. I'm sure the new owner will be stoked. Glad you still got the P-car, too.

I listed mine on all the main BMW forums and have not had much luck. Really i get a lot of hits from craigslist. Though everyone from CL wants to lowball me.
Im thinking about parting out and selling the car for under blue book.

As a buyer, unless you are looking for a specifically modded car, you usually have enough options locally for this car that you don't need to go out of area to get what you want.

You just have to be a good screener on craigslist.

I really haven't received any interest on any of the marketplace forums. I am hopeful that the right buyer may come along. I am considering taking some of the aftermarket parts out but that would be a pain. I an not in a hurry either so that helps.

My only rush is its mod money for the 996

I may part out some of the easier stuff but LCA's, SSK, or anything that requires hours Im not doing.

FYI: this is mine on m3forum
