Bmw M3 or 335i (vert)
I'd take a E92 M3 over the M5. It's just much more fun to drive and much lighter. People need to stop comparing old cars to the new E92 M3. The M5 isn't old, but like the 996TT comparison. Eh, the 996TT is DATED. The interior, the exterior, sure it's fast, but there is more to a new M3 then just performance.
). The M5 experience is quite a bit different than the M3 experience (which are much different than the standard 3 series). Regardless of all this talk... just go test drive them. I guarantee after that you will know which car you have to have.
I'm talking about the M3 vs the 996TT. The 996TT interior is garbage in my opinion. The M5 interior is awesome. I prefer the way the M3 drives to the M5. It feels more go-cartish. I haven't driven a 996TT, but I've been in one, it's FAST. But it's an old car now. I'd much rather have a new E92 M3 then a used 996TT for $68k. I think a 996TT for $68k would also be fairly old 2002-2003 with a nice amount of miles. You have to factor in mods and such to the car as well. It's just too much hassle, get a M3!

i want a new car in w.e aspect, a porsche is nice n all, but it wouldnt be logical as an "everyday" school car. So im looking more into the bmw, earlier on i was thinking of a Range Rover Sport but with gas prices, ill pass. So im looking at the new m3, which i still havent decided wether or not to get the coupe or vert. :|

M3 = 14 mpg city/20 mpg highway (http://www.fueleconomy.gov/FEG/noframes/25161.shtml)
LOL, way to go green!
haha, still
, id prefer the bimmer over that fatty.
. obviously i could get abetter mileage car but still, im going for a hot one
. regardless, i cant decide on vert or coupe. id get the vert if its with the shadowline not the chrome. if its a chrome, then ill go witht he coupe all the way

You're way biased. I drove both back to back and found the 335i to be lame in comparison to the M3. Not only in driving feel, but interior quality, road presence, and looks. No wheels or drop will make up for the wide body muscular look of the E92 M3. As for the $80k E93 range, what's better out there in that range? Don't mention a used turbo, or similar. Those aren't a good comparison.
To the OP, you will be very happy with the M3. IMO, skip the vert and get a coupe. You're really killing the performance and looks wit the vert. It feels a lot heavier and the folding hardtop just does not flow at all with the car. By at all, I mean AT ALL!

.. also there is NO way you can say the interior on a 335i is way less quality then on the M3 ... there is very little difference in the E90 M3s interior vs my interior except for a M button a different shift **** and a slight change in seats (i have the sport seats in my 335i).and yes when Im dropping 80K + Ill be buying a Porsche instead or a GTR

When comparing the M3 to the M5, the interiors are almost identical. You certainly can't say one is better than other (except more room in the M5). The M5 is comparable to the 996TT in acceleration (the standard method of performance comparison on ANY automotive bulletin board

you also drove a stock one not a piggybacked/flashed 335i

+1. PROcede 335 and a stock 335 are two diffrent cars.
ok, so i was on my way home from the Gym, cruising in the MDX, when a guy in a silver M3 Vert, passed by, he was driving awfully slow, i guess hes breakin the miles in or w.e, regardless, i decided i LOVE the vert even tho its not as clean and smooth as the coupe, its still the car i think im gunna go for.
