VF-Engineering Stage 2+, 493WHP dyno results with the V2 T-Trim Blower, 91 octane...

Installed a new blower today, more efficient and pushes more CFM, the T-Trim V2, same pulley as the Stage 2 on the standard S-trim, approx, 10 psi, 91 octane and just as quiet as the S-Trim! Comparison pics below.
All data looked good, timing CF, intake temps, AFR etc. and it was extemely hot in the shop! 92 degrees. Here's the results, 3 different correction factors. I have a vid as well, I'll edit that and post later. VF is planning a Stage 3, with lowered compression, hopefully that will be ready soon.

T-Trim vs. S-Trim Inlets

Nice numbers man! That's a big blower for a little 3.2 liter :P. What an absolutely beautiful linear dyno as well. The S54 is one of the very few motors that's able to continually build torque until its redline...that's absolutely amazing to me, especially since the redline is at 8k. That's saying something for the efficiency of the motor. What do you expect to push out with the stage 3? I'm thinking about picking up an e46 M3 for my next track toy. I'll probably go with the VF set up like you, as it would probably be a great setup because of the linear and predictable power delivery.

Great response!

This is a guess, on the stage 3, with lowered compression, we're looking at 550WHP on 91 octane, 600WHP on MS109, this is at 12-14psi.

Can't wait to see what you do with the Stage 3 kit. If you break a 130mph+ trap you'll likely convince me to get the E46 and go with a VF SC'er. It sounds like your car is capable of trapping over 125 in its current state with a better clutch...? Nice driving btw! A 1.6 60' is pretty damn good for a Bimmer on BFG DR's. The E46's are awesome handling cars when set-up, the power will make it just that much better. The Stage 3 VF kit with a built motor and weight reduction sounds pretty good to me .

The S54 motor has been proven to be capable of a lot. It is a masterpiece of engineering.

I think 125 is doable with this setup, and on my last pass with the previous setup I may have come close to that if the stock clutch wasn't slipping as the race fuel was starting to adapt! But that's all hypothetical, lol. I believe in similiar condtions with this new setup and MS109 in the tank full adapted, it would hit 125.

The Stage 3 may include new pistons 9.5 - 10:1 compression, or a thicker headgasket. As Michael pointed out the S54 is a robust motor, the stock internals are very strong. We shall see, but the headgasket route would be much cheaper, but needs to be tested 1st. Best of luck on your decision!
