Do Not Buy from MODBARGAINS!
Buddy bought a diffuser off of them, fiberglass with a CF insert (CSL Rep.). Also a set of black grills for his E46M.
The sent him 2 left grills. When we went to install, and contacted ModBargains and they said they would send him out a right promptly. Well it's been 3 weeks and counting...
The diffuser is literally off by an inch or more. Supposedly based on the factory insert and a gauranteed fit.
As I said it's off by more than a 1/2" on each side. He was in a rush to recieve this (it was the final piece to the puzzle). Everything was already at the paint booth so once this arrived he rushed and had it painted.
Upon installation of the rear diffuser we noticed the obvious short comings. Dave (my buddy) has contacted ModBargains to no avail.
First they agreed to refund the money after Mike(modbargains rep) talked to the manufacturer. Dave mentioned cost of the paint, and Mike's reply was "We'll take care of you".
3 weeks later, Mike is no where to be found, and another woman finally answered one of his messages saying, this is the body shops fault. They baked the piece and it shrank, No refund.
A. Our body shop didn't bake the parts, they are as they were out of the booth.
B. I use to build fiberglass parts for Porsches for a living. Fiberglass doesn't shrink once it's cured LOL.
This place is a joke, and I would be happy to save others the headache!

I can't comment on the 2 left grilles issue, but I can comment on the fitment of a diffuser.
The body shop was obviously inexperienced. Test fitting occurs before paint in every situation imaginable. It is the body shop's and/or the customer's fault for not test fitting the part prior to paint. After paint, it's used. You can't expect a retailer to refund a part that doesn't fit after it's been modified by an autobody shop. You also can't expect any compensation for paint, which was the fault of the customer for not properly fitting the piece prior to modification.
On top of that, why are you complaining for your friend?

Just trying to get the word out there...
The diffuser is worthless regardless of paint or not. I mentioned he was in a hurry, and we skipped test fitting it.
Our problem. Initially Mike didn't care that it was painted, and assured Dave that he would get to the bottom of this.
Whether this is a manufacturing defect or not, they need to either find a new manufacturer for the piece, or discontinue sale.
I've noticed a few other posts about this place. As I said before, I just want to be sure fellow members steer clear.

Yeah I haven't heard good things about them modbargains either. My brother has a 03 E46 and he got the stop tech 2 break system I believe it was from them and long story short, one of the rotors wasn't the right size even though they came with the same part numbers. Installed them and because it was the wrong size, it tore apart the ebrake on the rear. Had to service at BMW dealership and they stated that it wasn't their fault and now fighting with another company to get another rotor. On top of that he lost out on an extra 500 to fix the ebrake. After all said and done with the money he spent he could have got something nicer with the 1200 he ended up spending. He had to dish out money for the new rotor and it took 2 months before the re-inbursed him for them. Still fighting to get his 500 for the busted ebrake but it looks like a lost battle.

FWIW, I've spent well over $30k in aftermarket parts on my cars. Not to mention bikes, quads, sea doos... the list goes on.
I've got 6 years experience as a BMW tech. Prior to this I was building Porsche race cars, and fiberglassing various parts for them.
I rarely have seen something like this. I mean come on, 3 weeks after the fact and no right side grill?
The BBB is the only next viable step.

I only had ordered Colored Roundels for my M5 and not only did it take them 3 weeks to send them, the girl on the phone couldn't process my AMEX card, telling me that i wasn't giving her enough numbers, while i had my card in my hand, reading off the numbers to her and her reply was... I need more numbers... I'm like thats all the numbers on the card. Amex cards have a few less numbers than visa or mc. To make a long story short i had to use a visa card because the girl on the phone was too dumb to process a valid AMEX card that i use daily.
And they only even told me this after the 3 weeks when i actually had to call them to ask where the hell my order was.
