Death toll keeps rising: MY murdered M5

So, here it is...

Satin black kidneys
sapphire black side grills
painted tail lights (red part only)
painted factory wheels
RPI scoops
BMC Air filters
AC Schnitzer springs

The wheels were painted in a multi step process. Wheels look different colors in different lighting. Under flourescents it looks goldish/bronze, during the day it looks dark pewter, when dark it is an anthracite.

Now I have to do the tint but I don't think it will be too dark. Anyone have the new Infrared Tint or Ceramic tint that cuts out most of the heat from getting into the car? I heard even the light tint keeps the car very cool compared to the dark conventional tints.

Not yet but I will on the E60 in a few days and will report back. The manufacturers have a few more % tints coming out soon if you can wait and you really want it dark.

For the tint you will want a Formula 1 Pinnacle film- it is all ceramic based and will not interfere with radio signals (which means your rear window antenna and Valentine 1 will work as well as with untinted glass) and it will cut down heat transmission by a tremendous margin vs. a conventional dye based tint without metal. It is also non reflective so its good for that murdered out look.

I would go with Pinnacle 18% as it is dark, but not pitch black and will complement the color of your ride/theme very well.

Everything was done at Lucent Motors (board sponsor) ask for Tom. He knows what the paint process is. Tell him it is the M5 with the gun metal wheels.
