Good place to buy Castrol 10w-60?

At 800 miles on my new e60 M5, my BC says I need oil. I tried Pep boys but no luck. I went to the stealer and they wanted $23 for a quart of oil. Does that sound right?

My turbo burned a quart of oil every 1000 miles but the oil was only $6/quart for Mobil 1.

Anyone find a good source for this type of oil?

Thereabouts. You can try Tischer BMW's site; I think I heard they're having a sale.

Call Turner Motorsport. They sell the Castrol TSW 10 W 60 synthetic oil.
I have bought it to keep in my garage to top off when needed.

Hey Arling,

What? You mean idrive monitors my mileage and reports it somewhere? So I'm assuming they know where i've been as well?

You can ONLY buy Castrol TWS 10w-60 at Dealerships and Online. You will not find it at any autopart store nor should you try to buy any oil that has comparable weight. $22/liter is insane for TWS. It should be around $9-10/liter. Try another BMW dealership and/or get a BMWCCA member ship so you can get part discounts.

Whenever my M6 needs oil I go to the dealer and they put a quart in for free. I just cite their "free maintenance" clause even though I am not sure it includes top off's.

My service advisor was good enough to give me two extra quarts for me to have in my trunk just in case.

i have a great connection for the stuff... but the shipping costs from florida to you might make it a wash.. $22 per quart is highway robbery, please dont pay that!

I bought a bunch of liters from bavarian autosport (bavauto dot com) for about 10 or 11 per liter.

I made a few calls today and found the oil at Center BMW for like $11/liter. Bought a case and returned the $23/liter back to BH BMW...although I probably used that much in fuel to go back to BH.
