01 TT to E92 M3?

Any E92 M3 owners have a pros and cons list? I really like the look of the dark grey with dark wheels and tinted windows of the new M...plus I like the new SMG(DST) transmission option. I am just weighing my options and trying to get multiple points of view. Your thoughts?

honestly, thats def a step down. i like the new m3, but its no 911 turbo. the only reason i personally see to choose an m3 over a 911 turbo is for rear seat and trunk room. other than that, quite simply 911tt > m3

I would definitely say that it is not a step down, seeing as you are comparing an 01 TT and an 08 e92. I would go for it.

No question its a step down in terms of raw power and performance! But for practicality and daily driving...M3 offers more comforts. I'm looking to get out of my TT and back into an M3... Went from an e46 to the TT...now i want the e92.

01 TT is definitely a step down. But getting an 07-08 TT is not.

I don't think you should do it. The performance simply won't be the same. I don't know what's done to your car but looking at your profile pic if you upgraded the exterior a little, you would definetly love your car even more. It will respark that interest that you once had in it.

I would do it, I don't see where the step down is. You are getting a new car vs. an old one.

Drive it, you will see it is hardly a step down and a step up in many ways. The thing is, since your car is modded the power won't be there unless you mod the M3 and significant power boosters are not out yet. The only thing you would be missing is the "prestige" of the Porsche if the power does not bother you. If you were stock the decision would be easy.
