Todays pricing on a 07/08 M5

Hey guys my mom is trading out her Dinan 5 series and is interested in a M5 - she has put me to work. What kind of deals have you guys been seeing out there and what do they think is attainable as far as price.

I'm looking for a 07/08, preferably 08 e60 M5 - black/black or black/tan.

Must be SMG.

the deals i'm seeing on used m5's are terrific. the question is also where do the new ones trade...i'd assume >$10k below msrp. i think for a really good and well optioned low mileage 07/08 m5 you are probably talking max $60k right now...there's one on ebay, 08 with 8k miles with a buy it now of $62k...that's a huge hit in a year. i think an equivalent 07 should probably trade low to mid $50's as a result...gl with the search!!

Sweet. Thanks guys!

I found a black/black 07 with 19-20k miles on it. Priced at 54.9k, I was going to offer 47k cash deal and scoop it up next weekend - what do you think?

I think they will tell you to f off. You ain't getting a clean '07 with 20k miles for $47K. I'd say $51-52K for that one....would still be a great deal.

i think if you are comfortable you should feel free to be aggressive on price (meaning be on the low side). the car is a really bad performer in the used market and if you can find someone who needs to sell one you never know. remember, in a negotiation you can only go one way on price from wherever you start....

My buddy just picked up an '06 with a hair over 50k for $34. 1 owner city car, with a couple dings and normal scratches here and there for that mileage.

No it wasn't and auction car, and NO I wouldn't want one of these out of warranty...

But that fact that even a medicore condition E60 M5 can be had for that price, proves they have taken a HIT.
