X5 4.8i AC Schnitzer

Picked up a new kid hauler this weekend. Wasn't really considering but it was a heck of a deal. Here's what it has:

OEM stuff: Alpine White, Dark Bamboo trim, Premium, Sport, Technology Packages, 3rd row, ipod.

Aftermarket: AC Schnitzer front & rear apron, 22" Type IV, ACS exhaust, pedals, and i-drive wheel. Painted wheel well trim & running boards which I think really makes it look much cleaner.

Surprisingly rides pretty smooth with the 30 series tires. Only gripe is the NAV...either that or I've got to actually read the manual. Planning on a low profile stealth subwoofer enclosure and TV monitors, but the headrest cushion is too small...any suggestions?

On order: Angel Eye & Fog lamp 8500K bulbs (super white), cf roundels, clear corner reflector, ext/int white LEDs, and tint later this week. Considering doing a light tint on the tail lamps and rear reflectors. Can any photo choppers out there to give me a hand?

Now that's a sweet X5! Those 4.8s can move too, I can only imagine what the AC exhaust makes it sound like too. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the rims, I've never really like that style, but that's of course personal preference.

Congrats on the new ride!

Very nice, I would personally keep the kit, but go to the Factory OEM Wheels. They look ill:

Yes, it has a nice growl...subtle but not obnoxious. Pretty quick for an SAV. Can get the kids to school a bit faster now

I actually really like the rims. I agree, OEM looks good, but with the body kit, the rims really does set it apart from any other X5. Plus, the it matches the idrive ****

love it!
You won`t see such a X5 too often,which is a definite plus
Those wheels look so nice on that car, especially when rolling slowly or being looked at from abeam of the car...and the bamboo is sweet, too

Did you have any options on a ACS performance tune when you bought it?

Very nice, definitely will not be seeing many of those around.

The best option for a stealth subwoofer would be a fiberglass setup, that would be custom molded to the spot you choose.

As for the headrest system, they do make full headrest replacements that come with monitors, we have done them in the new X5's and they look OEM when done, plus you will get to keep your factory headrests if you ever want to remove the monitors. The ones we use are made by Vizualogic, unfortunately I do not have any photos on hand of them in an X5.
