How satisfied are you with your E92 (E90) M3 ?

I am planning to buy a new car in the next 2 months

I love Porsches and used to own one, but sold it after 1.5 years, as the car was not driven very often

Now I have the chance to buy an E92 M3 and use it as a daily driver or wait 6-8 months more to get the extra money to buy a 997.2 C4S with PDK

I now drive an X3 with Sports Package and find the car hugely capable, it has been my daily driver for the last 3 years and I have been very happy with it -- Have a son of almost 3 years, so now I can leave the SUV and get a sportier car

I felt my old Porsche was not balanced (being the engine at the rear) and find my X3 super balanced and a joy to drive

So I guess the E92 M3 would be excellent for me, but every time I see a Porsche I lust for one. But I do not want to have it as a garage queen and putting only 2000 miles a year on it...

So I think it's more logical to have an M3 and enjoy it every day

Porsche C4S PDK 10/10 (admiring it on the garage)
E92 M3 DCT 9/10 (using it every day)

What are your objective thoughts ? Will the 1/10 difference make a disappointing difference ?

I think you answered your own question:

With a few mods, it's a blast to drive.

I also picked up an E90. A very fun and practical daily driver. Mine has the DCT and I'm very impressed especially in comparison to my M5's SMG. I enjoy the M3 more on a day to day basis over the M5 due to it's more usable power and balance. M5's only faster on an open road over 120 but I'm rarely there. Try one, bet you'll like it.

Go for the M3. I drove one when my dealership had the Susan Koman drive for cancer and I fell in love! I'm a Porsche fanatic too, but I would rather have that enjoyment everyday versus weekends or special occasions only. Plus you can always throw on an Active Autowerke supercharger down the road!

I drove an e90 M3 today and can confirm it is a great car. It stole my heart. Some things I noted: Usable power, strong brakes, stunning interior. The M seats are incredible with electroniclly adjustable side bolsters. Overall, within minutes I was able to confidently toss it into a few corners and get on it, with no fear or hint of under/oversteer. I plan to pick one up based on one 15 minute drive

I have a 2008 M3 and love it for all the reasons the others have cited. I also have a pretty heavily modded Carrera S for the weekends which is fantastic but the M3 is definitely the better daily driver.

i dont see why a 911 cant be daily driven. however, i do agree m3 is more practical. test drive both to decide.

you can put down 380hp to the wheels n/a.. or if you want to get a little more power, the gpower is putting 480 to the wheels right now but will be putting down 500-520 on pump in about 2 weeks.
