Definitely don't need 4 doors...but after reading this I am thinking I should stay away from a car that doesn't have a warranty or only a short warranty left....Do the 6 speeds have a lot less problems than the SMG's? Don't worry, I'll do some of my own research too, but just throwing it out there for current owners.
If you were to find a CPO (Certified Pre Owned) M6 not only will you get the warranty extended to 6 years/100K miles, but you can opt for the extended maintenance program. New the cars come with 4 years/50K miles maintenance (oil changes, wiper blades, everything except gas and tires), but you can opt to extend that to 6 years/100K miles. I believe the cost is about $3K for the extended maintenance plan, but I do believe it would pay for itself just after a few visits to the dealer, not to mention, the peace of mind it would bring.
As far as gas consumption, well... My car does have a drinking problem... Hehe...
I may not have had my M6 that long, and it's not my daily driver, but if I did drive it daily, I'd probably be late to work each day because I'd take the longest way to work every day!
