Still early but does anyone or group in the northeast or mid atlantic drive to Mfest? looking to hook up with some drivers

It really isn't worth it.

Just makes more sense to fly out to Vegas and party.

If you are determined, you should check the official Mfest forum.

I was referring more along the lines of driving, but yes I have been, and its a mixed bag. It was pretty lame they could not swing renting the drag strip out for the drag day and that they dumped all over people who wanted to drive out to a strip.

If it was not in Vegas there would be no point to go. Organization was an atrocity, I assume this year will be better. Either way, an excuse to go to Vegas is an excuse to go to Vegas.

No drag now that is a turn off (for me). I dont mind a car show/gathering,but dragracing and a caravan with other BMW crosscountry is sweet. You are right its still Vegas.

 

I feel the same way, would not have bothered me as much if Laidback (the organizer) did not go out of his way to delete posts regarding my feelings on the matter and not even have the decency to address it, kind of a ***** move.

Oh well, lets hope they get their act together and are able to organize a proper event including all performance aspects this time. You have to understand, it is just basically run by Laidback and his friends.

I'm sure you will have fun, let me know if you go, I'd be pleased to meet you and show you around (I'm known as Sticky, I'll be the guy with the black supercharged E92 M3 ).
