Gintani tuned X5 //M

Hey guys my friend and I just got back from having Gintani tune his X5 //M Afaik This is the first tuned X5 M in the US. We had a limited time to spend but we're happy with the results from the first session tuning it. Gintani will be doing alot of future goodies soon so this is just the begining but for anyone looking to have their X5/6 M tuned I'd recommend giving them a call. Anyway here is a vid and dyno sheet of the before and after runs.

Its a BONE STOCK X5 //M with just a flash.

I know some people will look at the numbers and say it looks low and thats because this is very conservative Dyno Dynamics machine so we're just using this for the relative gains not numbers. Temp was about 65 degrees during the session according to the dyno weather station. 91octane fuel.

47whp gain and 36wtq not bad for a mild tune at all imo. Cant wait to get the Dowpipes , Full exhaust and some upgraded cooling this thing is gonna be silly

Stock 384 on a DD... that is very solid power, roughly 70 more than an M3 and ~15 more than an M5 even though it is going to 4 wheels, nice.

These motors will be a lot of fun to tune, especially once they get in more RWD, lighter BMW's.

431 on a DD @ all 4 wheels.... this thing will trap just under 120 mph.

Limited Edition is infamous around these parts
Can drivetrain lost be that significant from the manufactuer's claim of 555hp?
384whp seems low even for awhp.

I still don't understand why people don't understand that all whp is not created equal.

This has to be the single most baffling thing about dynos and peoples responses to them.

Why can't people understand different dynos in different conditions with different corrections factors read differently?

Please, read this FAQ on the dyno dynamics and educate yourself: http://www.rocketrally.com/website/i...=83&Itemid=161

Like I said dynos are for measuring gains not telling you how much power your car really makes. Every dyno read differently. I'm sure if we ran it down the street at a Dynapack it would baseline 430whp Stock easily.

Nice numbers! I have the same color....I like that you painted the rear to look like diffuser. Thats how it should've rolled off the assembly line IMO. Is anyone making an exhaust yet?

Thanks my friend has good taste. Gintani will be making a full turbo back exhaust system for it. Along with other goodies ie: Upgraded coolers, Intake system and some CF aero bits.

Nice solid gains.

Any AF ratio's? It's particularly important in blown cars.
