e60 m5 angel eyes

Ok, I've seen tons of threads regarding this topic but nothing that really is helping me. I've tried an upgraded PIAA bulb, an LED bulb made for this and none of them have given me the EXTREME bright light I'm looking for. SOme have said I can put an HID h8 bulb in and other have said it will burn out the housing/fiber optics.

Someone please help...

thanks

john

Have you seen MTEC angel eyes? I work at a BMW aftermarket shop and we usually recommend RDash or MTEC angel eyes.

There are a few different solutions out there for you and it really comes down to the production date of the vehicle as BMW did change out the bulb size that is used. If your M5 is 2008+ I would recommend that you check out the 6W LED Angel Eye Bulbs by City Vision Lighting. Here are some pictures of the product installed on my E92 335i. I'll shoot you over a PM with more details as well.

The HIDs are really bright, but they do look great. The LEDs, IMO, are a better way to go, but a lot of people have problems with them throwing codes. There's a company called OSS that retrofits LED eyes (I think 60 or 80 bulbs per ring) into E9x lights that might be able to help you. The end results are stunning.

The OSS Design pieces are nice, but it'll require opening up the OEM headlights and the cost is much higher.

They do look great and we have a few guys that still do them!
