X5m

Anyone have any feedback on ownership of a x5m? I've found a good deal on a used one. I'm trying to find some time to test drive it.

I had one. Sick Truck..I only got rid of it because I am a car *****. One of my best ride's to date. Fast, aggressive. Handles amazing. Tons of features..

You can't go wrong. I got it over the X6M because of the larger back seats.

I'll have to agree with Jay; great all around truck! Rode in one and I love everything from the styling cues down to the aggressive handling!

Best SUV on the market, G55 or RangeRovers are nice but not the same performance, and the X gets a better mpg, but has not the ebst sound, but sound is not all...... If you get a 09-10 you have to get the 11 rear kight, looks much better......

My DD is an X6M. The power is relentless and the handling is fantastic. I had a cayenne TT and there is really no comparison. BMW has done an amazing job with the engineering. You do need winter wheels and tires to cope with snow. Other than that, it is great for in traffic or on back roads.

I have owned mine since Nov.09' and I now have almost 19k miles. It still puts a smile on my face every time I hit that M button. I do have to say I have had some issues that have been resolved and one that hasn't. First was the break pad squeal. I have gone thru three sets of pads and now it looks like they finally got it right. During the winter the driver side mirror cracked by itself. No explanation but replaced with an updated version. At about 3k miles the interior started getting noisy. BMW removed most interior panels and lubricated them plus they installed some special tape so there would be no more rubbing...so far so good. Every once in a while it will give me a check engine light and go into limp mode... Feels like it's running on seven cylinders. After months of having this problem I brought it into service in limp mode and they found a vacuum line was cracked. After replacing the line the car has gone into limp mode twice again. Almost every time I mash the accelerator I leave a black cloud behind...people must think it's a diesel. BMW has no solution for the black cloud and still have to resolve the check engine light. The funny thing is even after all these problems I would buy this car again.

Yes it is. It seems that it does have a lot of carbon build-up. Service advisor said it seems to be normal with the X5M's.

Other than a little brake squeal in parking lots, I haven't had any issues. I have around 9000 on mine and I DD it also.

I can't see the numbers. Is this dyno run on your truck?
