M6 or GTR or CL65
Hi guys, I'm getting rid of my 07 CL550 now and looking for something different, fast but still good for daily duty.
I was going to buy a GTR last year but ended up bought a 996 Turbo with bunch of goodies. Also, just bought a 94 Supra TT 6MT in March of this year. Then my girlfriend is complaining about how rough the ride on these cars. So my CL did pretty good job but I find out I can't live with it's slowness.
Have looked in to many cars and decided to choose between 09 M6 SMG Coupe, 10-11 GTR and 07-08 CL65 AMG
Any suggestion guys

However, supposedly, the new 2012's ride better.
If you are looking at one new - I'd get the 2012, without thought. HOWEVER - if you're talking ride comfort - you can't go wrong with the CL65 AMG.
My take - if you're coming out of 996tt, the others may bore you a little, except for the GT-R.

since you already have fast rides you should go with the cl65... especially for daily and you can actually fit people in the back (if willing to ) but yeah the cl65 is a badass car...

If a rough ride is a non-starter...you might want to take the GT-R off the list. My GT-R splits time with my CTS-V as a daily driver. I have to be pretty careful to avoid certain rough roads and low clearance areas in the GT-R.
I am not sure the M6 will satisfy you if you have grown accustomed to torquey cars. Otherwise, it seems a good compromise comfort wise between the CL65 and GT-R.
I also had a CL65 ('05 W215). I haven't driven a W216 CL65, but I am sure the 300+lbs weight gain over the W215 isn't doing the handling any favors. The styling of the W216 has grown on me a bit. I just can't get past a 5K lbs curb weight in a coupe. I am sure that the g/f will like the ride much better than the GT-R. You might even think about the new CL550's with the 4matic and twin turbo V8. They are running 12.7s 1/4 mile times, about on par with the M6.

It won't be the fastest car out there...but has AWD... good comfort for the g/f...pretty good straight line speed...and has the potential to turn up with boost on the turbos.

You are correct. I was only suggesting that coming from the performance aspect of the 996tt, the others may not fill the void. That was as far as I was taking it.

This, and it won't be boring at all slow no as well. You are talking about a v12 twin turbo CL65. TONS of power

Long time havent been here. So my first comment for long time, TAKE the M6, I just bought one yesterday, 2009 M6 FULL individual, with lots of mods which is very rare in place where are live. I was driving 650 for last 3 months and just loved this coupe. So I decided to buy for myself one. Perfect ride, with perfect power and looks!
Its for sure a turn head ride. Take it and you wont mistake.
Hope my comment helped.
Brgds.

I say between the three, go with the CL65 for ultimate power and comfort. You already have a couple sports cars, so the GTR doesn't make as much sense. Also the M6 is quite ugly IMO (though I love V10 engines).
