V8 z4
How possible is to install an E39 M5 V8 engine into a Z4?
Z4 2.2 or 2.5 has an average price of 10K. A full engine with cats and exhaust is about 8K. Get rid of 2.2 engine will save me at least 2k. So 16K for engine and car. Do you think it is possible to make this conversion with 25.000$ max?

You will most likely need a transmission as well.
My concern would be the electronics required to make this swap. The $$ spent on tuning alone might make this project difficult.
Perhaps try calling reputable BMW tuning shops in your area to see if this has been done before.

The LS2 swap has been done in everything from a Mazda Miata to a Jeep TJ/Wrangler. It's been documented thousands of times, and there are probably hundreds of tuners who are able to make it happen.
The S62 swap is a rare find and therefore the tuners willing to put their name on the line would be few and far between (if $ is no factor than you can make it happen).
Not trying to crush your dreams and would like to see the outcome but best find a shop first willing to give you a concrete quote on the costs.
