Is there any type of BMW wave like Porsche has or driver communication. Haven't heard anything of this. I have a BMW 335i Coupe.

 

I'm thinking it's a "generational" thing - I owned Porsches for a lot of years and it was "flash your lights" at an on-coming P car

Now in the M5 and I still do it but I've NEVER had a return flash from an on-coming BMW

Like I suggested - I believe it's a whole nuther generation.....

 

Yeah!! That is all the 1 thing I miss from my Porsche is the Porsche wave.

been "starting it" for the past few decades - no response - I'll still "do it" but all the while I'll chuckle, knowingly, at the ignorance of those who don't return the salute..

 

If you do a BMW wave, you'll be waving at every third car in most areas.

 

Yeah but typically I can pick out which ones are enthusiasts. If they have cf splitters cf diffuser and have tinted their windows I would wave. If it is a X3 then maybe not. If it is a m3 I will wave as well.

 

^ This is what I do as well. Where I'm at (Pacific Northwest) - the enthusiasts do wave back.

 

I only wave at //M cars, and mostly M3's since most M5 guys just look at your like you're crazy.
