2013 BMW M5 Order Help

I am thiniking about ordering the new 2013 M5. The dealer I have purchased 3 BMW's from says I can be one of the first to get the car if I want it...Scary to commit to a car without driving but I think this one is going to be AWESOME! I have a few questions...

1) When is the official release date? Dealer said August/September Delivery

2) Base MSRP is $89,000 and change. Anyone know the options pricing? The dealer said they know the options offered but pricing has not been released.

My dealer has always been straight up, just wanted to see what others have heard/seen etc regarding order slots etc.

Thanks!

offical msrp was announced today, $90,695...but no word on how much the options will cost. that is $5k above the e60 msrp which is a healthy jump. bmw is doing well these days! i have heard similar release date which makes sense as a 2013 model. evidently order slots are going to be opening up in the next couple of weeks (third hand info). looks like a heck of a car!

order book opens week of april 23....see attached for list of options (no prices on options yet)...

Thanks for the information. I really wish they would have prices for options.

let me guess....not cheap! looks like fewer options than the e60 however, so maybe the content of the f10 is better to offset some of the higher msrp..the ceramics are likely to be a big chunk of change however.

The car comes rather loaded. Im thinking for options to go with 20" wheels, B&O sound, and ventilated seats and thats it. Hell, that will probably take it over 100 right there. I sure the packages are a heavy chunk of change...

I dont care for heads up display, side cameras (have these on my 7 and never use it) lane detection, rear entertainment options

I will sell/trade the 7 for the M5, cant keep both.

As for the F430 I love that car bone stock. Only thing I did was plug the vac lines so the exhaust stays open all the time, sounds sick! Savin the wheels for the M5

but you never keep them stock!! Is the 430 as quick as the turbo was? I just told the story last night to a guy about the 3rd gear pull that made my stomach clinch.

that's cool tho definitely get wheels for the M5..

hmmmmm - try going to BMW NA site and looking for M6 packages and options under "build your own" - would bet a nickle those prices would be "close" to the M5s

I called a local dealer and they said that you can build one on the bmwusa.com
website. As of yesterday it was on there and I built one with everything and it was either 103k or 108k, can't remember but seems like a bargain. But still considering a few other cars which are quite different, 2013 sl63 or RRSC.
