Picked up an X5M

Just bought a 2010 X5M with 12k miles.

Could not be happier. Still shocked at how fast and how well it handles. Also love the transmission - feels like a double clutch, but is perfectly smooth in full automatic mode. Feel like I am getting 99% of the performance of a sports sedan with better safety (all wheel drive, high seating, better view of the road, less worry about road hazards). Only downside is horrible gas mileage.

I am coming from a 2007 911 Turbo, 2007 M6 Convertible, and a 2006 CLS55 (still own) and I can honestly say this car is much more fun to drive than all of these. I do have two small kids so the practicality does make me biased towards back seat room.

May sound crazy, but the car feels and sounds a little like the California Ferrari. If blindfolded, a passenger would believe they were in the Ferrari with the top up.

Debating on mods, but will keep stock for at least a little while.

What a car, I mean truck!

Congrats, interesting point of view regarding the "fun to drive" factor. The X6 or X5M is on my list as well as CLS63. Care to expand how you felt it compared to your CLS

Awesome truck. I loved driving that at training for when I sold BMW's. Sound is awesome for sure. You can do a comp upgrade a get very nice gains for just a few dollars.
