i need to come across the funds first and then find the time. im gonna try to see if i can convince this friend of mine that owns a tuner shop to do this. its the only way i ever see in getting a TT Z4, that is as close to factory as possible.

i would personally prefer the 4 door. to me that car looks a LOT better than the coupe. i would consider the vert just because of the hard top...

btw, a guy did a m3 engine swap in an e46 over at the e46fanatics forum and it was no easy thing. my thing is if you want the m3 parts, just cough up the dough upfront, you will be happier and it will be cheaper than doing the aftermarket swaps etc...

I'd take a Z4 M Coupe with the V8.

I wouldn't mind skinny tires back there...

In all seriousness, the new M3 has 265/40R18 tires as opposed to 255/40R18's on the E46 M3. That's only a 10mm difference. The new V8 actually doesn't produce that much more torque than the outgoing S54B32 in the E46 M3. The Z4 M coupe uses the E46 M3's standard tires (ContiSportContact's). They really need to give it some new rubber. I suspect this is the reason why it is losing in the numbers tests to the Cayman S (which is equipped with ContiSportContact 2's and Pilot Sport PS2's).

I have seen in the area of Stuttgart the new 328i E92, and the 335i E92 in June there as test vehicle.

i'd rather have the M5 and just get a lightly used one

3 series body is too small as a four door
