Check out the article in the most recent edition of Autoweek. The BMW tuner from Miami has a package developed and installed on Tony Kanan's 335. Keep us posted on your developments.

the stock twin turbos on an MKIV Supra can be stretched to +/- 500whp, but it is rare. don't get me wrong, it can be done quite reliably, but it does shorten the life of the turbos significantly, and it costs a pretty penny to push the stock twins to that power level. in fact it costs more to reach 500whp on the stock twins than it does to convert to a single turbo and aim for 500whp - hence the reason most 500whp Supras are single turbo and not BPU. let me get to the point. the CT12B turbos in the MKIV Supra are similar in size to the 335i's turbos. if a BPU++++++ Supra (a Supra still on the stock twins, but with several supporting mods) will be hard pressed to reach 500whp, i'll be damned if the 335i is making 535whp/590tq on just an enlarged compressor side, exhaust, and a re-flash...especially since its displacement is no larger than the 3.0L 2JZ.
Remember the 335 has a relatively high compression/direct injection motor. Much Much different than the Supra. Technology has evolved quite a bit since the early 90's.

With that said, I'd be suprised with anything over 400rwhp. As stated, turbos are too small.

i had already taken that into consideration when i typed my response . high compression/direct injection or not, if you can name a better motor to compare to the N54 than the 2JZ, i'd be happy to hear it. i was just making as best comparison as i could in trying to explain why we not should expect 500+ whp/wtq out of the simple modifications done to this particular N54. i'm right with you on the power guestimate though...i'm expecting to see something right around the 400whp mark.

hey Ben, did you get a chance to throw her on the dyno yesterday or the day before? we're all dying to see some results .

The 335 motor gives you an extra 200rpm compared to the 2JZ. I believe it is 7000rpm vs 6800rpm. That should be good for a few more top end hp along with the direct injection.
