Are you tuning it on the street? Or are you just running it on the street without tuning? (That could be dangerous.)

If you are tuning it on a dyno, you have a good idea of the power and torque?

From what he says it looks like he is 'street dyno' tuning the car.

18lbs from those stock turbos is friggin awesome. Are you guys reprogramming the VANOS timing as well, or are you just changing the fuel, timing and boost maps?

I agree, but comparing it to something similar such as a B5 S4 and upgrading those turbos to the K04 that come on the RS4, 18lbs is still really good!

I could see this car hitting 500bhp at 18psi.

If it could hold that boost to redline, I'd think so too. Those things might be falling off the map trying to flow up there though... The dynos will tell.

Lots of parts thown at this motor. Personally I'd be looking for something a little closer to stock (ie better bang for the buck) rather than doing every last thing in the persuit of ultimate numbers, but it will be very interesting to see what they manage to put down when they finally get it working well enough to show us...

Well if you want nice reliable power then you can get the Vishnu perfmance package. Piggyback PROcede EMS and Vishnu exhaust is resulting in ~390bhp / ~445btq. It's only pushing an additional 2psi boost through the stock turbos. Pretty safe and reliable, and no major modification - plug and play harness and a downpipe/manifold-back exhaust system and that's it.

Geez... all this boost talk makes me want to forego the E92 M3 and just throw some coilovers on a tuned 335i! I'm sure they'll come out with an LSD solution for it soon enough.

I figure that motor wants to be around 430 nice, reliable, stock-looking hp with slight ported turbos and a nice open exhaust. I feel like the tiny stock turbos are choking the hell out of it on the high end when you turn the boost up. The boost threshold will go up 500+ rpm with bigger turbos, but that's a trade I'm fine making. As you say, though, I'd want an LSD, and I wonder what the transmission is torque rated for.
*Oh, and PLEASE bmw bring over the 335i and ix wagons like they have over in europe. Sure it will hurt your SUV sales a little- but that serves you right, imho... End rant.*

Theres already an LSD available for the 335i, the Quaife LSD.

Vishnu stage 1 is $2665 (including exhaust)
Not bad for 380-400hp, or so they claim.....

Like Nico said, $2665 includes the plug and play piggyback and the manifold-back exhaust system.
