yes, the Supra's redline is 6800rpm. however the rev limiter is up around 7300rpm (at least it is in my car, and yes i'm running the OEM spec rev limiter). is 7000rpm the N54's redline, or is that the rev limit? regarding direct injection, i think it alone would more than make up for the Supra's extra 300rpm's stock for stock (again, assuming the N54 cannot rev beyond 7000rpm), but i've never compared the dynos of a stock MKIV and a stock 335i, so i can't be sure. i do know that the N54 is quite underrated since people dyno their stock 335i's @ 285-300whp (which is the same exact range in which a stock Supra will dyno), suggesting that the N54 makes as much power as the 2JZ regardless of either manufacturer's published numbers. the big question is whose power drops off more at redline, and how far out of the powerband (if at all) does either car drop on an upshift. haha this is way off topic ...

...soooooo...how 'bout them 335i dynos?

yeah that's what I've been thinking too lol
they shouldn't have released the 335 before the e92, or put the twin-turbos on the options list for the new m3

then again, BMW knows that the hardcore enthusiast, if given the option between the two, will take the M3 any day of the week regardless of the 335i's tuning potential. believe me, BMW has already contemplated the timing of the releases of both cars...if BMW honestly thought the 335i is going to hurt M3 sales, then they wouldn't have released it when they did.

I'm anxious to see real world performance numbers (ie. track times) for the M3. They should be out soon and will make for an interesting comparo.

May have been posted before but here's a 335 with a few mods and drags hitting the 1/4 @ 12.5. I can't imagine what bigger turbos will bring to this sleeper.
