Its been over a month and you have no idea (or are not willing to share) dyno numbers.............Sounds suspect....Until further notice everyone assume the motor blew........They blew the motor...........

AS A FRIEND of the poster i know the engine is not blown i have seen the car running at 14lbs but since ben is a maniac he was not happy with the output produced at 14lbs so he went back to the drawing board and wants to reach a goal .......also used to the other toys power i think he is trying to compare the 335 to the other cars....... but no the engine is not blown !!!!!!

 

Thats all I saw....lol.......just messin with ya'll.....would be nice to hear ANY numbers though.........crap seeing a boost vs rpm graph would be great (hoping boost doesn't fall off at redline)

 

so what kind of power was the car making @ 14psi? and what kind of power would Ben like to make @ 14psi? and what "other toys" is he comparing the 335i to?

 

LOL ASK HIM WHAT POWER HE wants ....... but the toys 03 murci ,07 997tt,06 m6,02 360 modena and the beater 335i that doesnt have dyno plots lol (engine maybe blown lol)...........im pretty sure he wants 500whp is it possible maybe he is sure trying though cant wait !!!

 

LOL i would ask him but he's not giving up much info at this point...

anyways, 500whp wasn't even a remote possibility on enlarged compressor housings alone...so its no wonder he's been continually adding to the project. though it would have been nice to see what the modified turbos were capable of on their own before he started increasing the scope of the project...oh well.

Well, potential customers, you've now had fair warning. You know how it is with with some shops- "check's in the mail" and all that... When this guy says your car will "will take a week", I'd multiply by 6x (and counting) and expect some pretty lame excuses for why it's not ready.

It's one thing to want to present a quality product, and I fully respect that. If you say to me "sorry, didn't make what we were hoping, but here are the dynos, and we're going back to find more" I can fully respect that. But to say you'll do something then not do anything of the sort, especially in a public forum where you know everyone is watching, speaks volumes about the type of person you're dealing with. Buyer beware...

 

And the fact that the entire setup has changed 9000 times now too makes me suspect. I still with the proven downpipe and flash and take my 340rwhp all day with no worries....

 

Hes proven hes swapped the turbos and posted pics of the downpipe and exhaust. We've had 6speedsters see the car in person... Everyone is freaking out because he hasn't strapped it to the dyno why? Hes said repeatedly its not a priority and he has other things requiring his time... like maybe customers cars?

 

who are you ...im not selling this kit for your info prototech in ft lauderdale is the one building the car and no its not ready . I'm not in a hurry this is my project car I'm not soliciting business so relax " even tough i am a sponsor on this forum for wheels!!! not turbo kits .....1st person to take the turbos out and re do them ..its not that easy ..yes i have dyno'd the car but its not ready why am i gonna post 1/2 the results .this is why people don't like to post projects with haters like this ..so if your so interested make your own turbo upgrade kit and stay out of my post ....

 

You guys are being excessively harsh. Ben didnt make this thread as an advertisement, per se.

The changing of designs, etc is common place in the automotive tuning world. The fact that Ben put this out in the open during the R&D process was likely a mistake as this allows every revision, blockade. etc to come to light, though it says nothing to the quality of the kit.

Ben hasnt offerred this kit for sale, so why jump on him as if he is shafting customers. This is his personal car..nothing more.

If anything the time this project has taken should provide a reassuring feeling as its likely being done right with revisions being made to provide the best possible kit for the buying public. If he shot it out in a week, you could bet he hadnt carefully evaluated and road-tested the car.

I have no affiliation with Ben nor WB, just thought I might interject some comments as you all have no right to bash him and his work, especially when you have ZERO time or money invested into this project. If you cant control yourselves call Vishnu or Karl @ AA and order up one of their kits instead of *****ing about the wait for this kit to be produced.

 

Agreed. You guys are throwing Ben under the Bus, when he has repeatedly said that this is a "side project." He is also in the development stages. IE: things are going to change and inevitably set the project back further.

Those who are saying "Buyers Beware" I find really ironic as it doesn't appear you even own a E92 and will not be buying anything from Ben to begin with.

Please stop spewing your naysaying comments on something that doesn't even apply to you. Give the guy a chance to put together a kit. If you don't like his timeframe, then just stop reading the thread. Not rocket science guys.
