dinan:
19x9.5 et45 front, 19x10 et 35 rear
Those are pretty "safe" as offsets go. You should be able to fit 275s up front with an et40 offset, and 285s rear with an et30 offset
i was also told that the ZCP wheels are the same offset.

The original post was for the CSL wheels, of which the fronts are 19x8.5... different width. I've yet to see a set of fronts remotely close to $400.

if i was to change the OEM 19's i would ideally want at least 8.5" up front. this way i can at least run 245 with some room or even 255's. 275's are probably gonna be a bit too much up front.
as far as morr alloys, their site is essentially non existant. but for a $150 more than stock zcp wheels i would say that it is probably worth getting forged. let me know how this develops. i will also have to buy some winter wheels but will most likely get some cheapies when the time comes...

RAC Monolite RG4's are forged and made from the highest quality aluminum available. I have a set on the way for my M3. Here are some specs:
* 6061 T6 HEAT TREATED Aluminum Alloy (currently the best wheel material available)
* 8000 TON SPREAD FORGED MONOBLOCK WHEEL
* 19 x 9 Front , offset is +37
* 19 x10 Rear , offset is +25
* Wheels have a 72.6mm center hub bore so they are HUBCENTRIC (the fit is perfect, no centering rings needed)
* Can accommodate a BIG BRAKE KIT without spacers
* Powder-coated in a high quality Silver finish (brilliant)
* Can accommodate tire sizes up to a 265F/285R max.
* The RG4 wheel weights are: 22.5 lbs front and 23.0 pounds rear
* The RG4s are currently only available in fitments for the E46 M3
* Wheels will accept the OEM roundel centercap. (RG4's are designed from the factory to use the OEM E46 M3 centercap)

here is some more:
M67 Double Spoke Polished (OEM 19)
8 J x 19 ET47 12,6 kg (x 2.2lb/kg = 27.72 lbs)
9 1/2 J x 19 ET27 13,3 kg ( x 2.2lb/kg = 29.26 lbs)
M67 Double Spoke Crome Shadow (OEM 18)
8 J x 18 ET47 11,2 kg (x 2.2lb/kg = 24.64 lbs)
9 J x 18 ET26 12,2 kg (x 2.2lb/kg = 26.84 lbs)
M163 Cross Spoke Painted (ZCP)
8 J x 19 ET47 10,5 kg = 23.1 lbs
9 1/2 J x 19 ET27 10,9 kg = 23.98 lbs

If I had to do it again, I'd spend the extra $700 and get the real ZCP wheels.
I weighed my CSL reps, and despite the manufacturer claiming that they weigh about 25lbs, they actually weigh about 31lbs. The weight saving alone (close to 40lbs of unsprung weight since real ZCP wheels weigh about 22lbs per corner; that's like shaving 80~120lbs of weight on the car) is worth the extra $700. I was able to feel the acceleration became slower and the car didn't handle as well as before. I'm switching to the BBS RGR's. I''ll probably just keep the CSL reps and throw them on the car when I'm ready to sell the car/trade in. The reps so cheap even brand new that it's just not worth it to sell them used.
Edit: mine are the velocity motoring replica's
