I only used BBS on all my cars. They are light, tough as hell and look awesome. BBS on any BMW is a instant classic. You cannot beat the look. My current rims are 19" RS-GTs. One of the best rims ever had. But, if someone pointed a gun to my head and asked me to choose any other rims besides BBS, I would go with Kinesis.

The only problem I have with CSL rims is that everybody has it and they are not that light. Not sure about strength.

Last two pics are my car.

well since you mention weight...the RGRs weigh 20.3 front and 22.0 in back, the RS-GT's whcih you have weigh 20.8 front and 22.X rear, the OEM CSL wheels weigh 23.1 front and 23.8 rear. there really isnt a huge different in either front or rear between any of these wheels. so, the CSL wheels ARE IN FACT light. the wheels that arent light are my oem 19s which weigh 27.X front and 28.X rear. so going to the CSL will yield me a loss of 18 lbs of rotating mass.

i gotta tell you... the bbs look good, i mean really good on your car, but when i see that first pic of the csl wheels, thats just stunning. the concavity just fits the fender flares sooo soo well. im not gonna argue about 2 lbs on weight when im already lowering weight significantly.

Opps....thought CSLs weight more than 2lbs on each corners. Nevermind then. But, don't get Maya or something because they are like 30lbs each.

Cannot find it anymore but I read an article which states a math equation that tells you at what speed, weights of the rims becomes multiple. So for instance, 2lbs may become 20lbs in each corner at 80mph or something. It's pretty crazy. But, agree with you and like I said 2lbs difference is considered small.

if you find that math sheet post it, id like ot see it, but yea, you are right on that. once you get up to 4,5,6 lbs per corner, it begins to add up. either way im lowering weight which is good.

i finally got around to taking some pics yesterday and i am back to agreeing with Porsche that the stock 19's are rather nice. i may just end up keeping em and putting spacers up front and just get the CSL 18" reps for the winter set up. that way i get best of both worlds .

btw, notice the sparkle on the front wheel, that was natural

btw, porsche, which spacers do you run and how thick are they?

great looking car man! is it silver grey or tiag? not to say i told oyu so, BUT, i told ya so, haha jk man. the stock 19s really are pretty damn nice. ive def decided im going OEM ZCPs in like a month or two. heres a couple pics of mine to keep the pics going. oh yea, i run a 10 mm spacer up front and nothing on the back. when i get the csl wheels tho, i might run a 10 or 15 mm in back to for a little more agressive rear offset.

yeah, i think i am gonna get the rogue engineering 12 mm spacer on the front with 245's and then just put 275's out back and that should fill things up nicely.

the car is the silver grey. my first silver grey was with my m5 and i fell in love with it. then i had an eclipse that was grey. and now this. kinda like the red cars. i did those for a while...

245/275 is the exact setup i use with a 10 mm spacer up front. u can see how nicely the rear is filled with the 275s. a couple buddies of mine just saw my car for the first time last weekend and they were holy ****, those back tires are wide as hell!

at the moment, i am running nitto 555 extremes. 1st time ever using them and theyre GREAT. very sticky, high tread wear, which is usually pretty hard to find. very good in the dry and pretty damn good in the wet as well and very quiet.

heres a link if youre interested.
http://www.nittotire.com/#index%2Etire%2Ent555

they run about 1000-1100 for a set of four of the 245/275. one tire i have always like that i ran on my 911 were Michelin Pilot sports.

man, the goodyears run the same price (pretty much). i think i would rather stick with those. as long as you get the non-chinese non-korean version...

i am debating on weather i wanna get the spacers before or after i get the new tires. am a little worried about getting a wider tire and then it rubbing after adding a spacer. and if i had to choose between a spacer and a wider tire, i choose wider tire!
